PORT-AU-PRINCE
Haiti-dazed survivors wandering past corpses in streets littered with debris Wednesday, mourning their loved ones and rescuers desperately searched collapsed buildings as the fear that increased the death toll from the devastating earthquake in Haiti could reach the tens of thousands.
The first cargo planes carrying food, water, medical supplies, shelter and dogs went to the poorest nation, a day after the magnitude-7 earthquake.
The quake toppled buildings, large and small.
Hospitals, schools and the main prison collapsed.
Police officers turned their trucks in ambulances to carry the wounded.
Other survivors carried the injured to hospitals in wheelbarrows and on stretchers door fashion.
Crep that this only be solved by giving everything it takes and without look for what is lost economically.
